Donate
There are many ways you can partner with Habitat for Humanity Salem County to build communities for families in need. We can only operate with the generosity of our supporters who share our belief that every family deserves a decent place to live.
Cash Donations
For $5.00 you can provide a box of nails and for $60,000 you can sponsor an entire house. Every dollar helps us provide decent housing for our neighbors in need.
Make a quick and easy donation to Habitat for Humanity of Salem County. You can make a one-time donation or a recurring donation according to your preferences.

Cars for Homes
If you have a car, boat, truck, or RV you are planning to donate, please consider the Habitat ‘Cars For Homes’ program.
A vehicle donation can help a family build
a home and attain strength, stability and self-reliance for the future.
The proceeds will help a wonderful cause and you will receive a tax deduction within the limits of the IRS code.

Donate a Home, Land or Property
One of the most critical shortages we face is land. Land donation may support our mission in one of two ways. First, if the land meets specific criteria Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County may build on this site. Second, if the land cannot be used as a build site, it can be sold with the profits going toward building materials. You also reap the tax benefits of your generosity!
Imagine avoiding the hassle of selling a house or piece of property, with no worry about getting a fair price and at the same time realizing valuable income and estate tax deductions such as eliminating or reducing the capital gains tax* that would be owed if you were to sell it yourself.
How would you benefit from donating a house or property?
In addition to freeing you from the costs and responsibilities of ownership, making an outright gift of property that you’ve owned for more than a year offers these benefits:
- You obtain an income tax charitable deduction equal to the property’s full fair market value. This deduction reduces the cost of making your gift and frees cash that otherwise would have been used to pay taxes.*
- You eliminate capital gains tax on the property’s appreciation.*
- The transfer isn’t subject to the gift tax, and the gift reduces your future taxable estate.*

Potential property and real estate donations must meet the following minimum criteria:
- All back taxes are paid.
- No past due utility bills.
- Property is owned free and clear with no mortgage liens.
- House must be in a habitable condition.
If you are interested in donating a home or property, please fill in the form at the top of this page or contact us at or 856-299-7995.
